How can we save one of our most valuable housing resources?  July’s Housing Forum will zone in on Existing Small Multifamily Rental Stock.  We’ll explore where the core neighborhoods exist for rentals and how we can generate enthusiasm for developing and rehabilitating this kind of housing.

Our three guest speakers will address this subject as it relates to their areas of expertise:

• Max Creighton, Executive Director of Community Design Center of Atlanta will take us through an overview of a study on this topic recently completed by the Design Center.
• Bonnie Johnson, Executive Director of CAMP, Inc. will talk about the impact of these properties on neighborhoods and what her CDC and other neighborhood organizations would like to do to preserve this housing stock.
• Joy Fitzgerald, Director of the Office of Affordable Housing/Georgia Department of Community Affairs will focus on DCA efforts to address the issue.
